Lens is functioning to control how the light is focused on the sensor. Converging lens and diverging lens form the lens..Most of the digital camera use 2.0 until 2.8 focus lens. Focal length is the distance between the lens and the sensor. Focal length l determines the magnification or zoom. The magnification can be increased by increasing the focal length.Therefore, the object will appear closer. A zoom lens is a lens that can adjust the focal length. Digital camera can have optical or digital zoom. Some of digital camera may have both. Some of digital camera may have macro focusing capability which can take pictures from very close to an object. In order to to take an image; the lens must be connected to the CCD.
